"I just wanted to thank you for this amazing service you offer. I was so overjoyed when [my friends] knew someone to recommend when we mentioned we wanted to get the placenta encapsulated. And then to meet you, and sense your kindness and good intentions - I'm just so happy. I was diagnosed with PTSD a few years ago, depression runs in my family, and I have almost all the risk factors for PPMD, so as soon as I learned about the benefits of the placenta, I knew I wanted to do this. Thank you, again, for what you are doing for women." V.H.
"Dear Casey, Just a quick thank you and to say what a pleasure it has been to meet you. I can't imagine anyone more creative, smarter or more calm to be a part of this unique and magic time. Thank you for sharing your skills time and wisdom and taking responsibility for our baby's placenta including encapsulation and prints." A.B.
"We love Casey. We couldn't have been more pleased with her warm help and enthusiasm for our second baby boy. Firstly, let me say that she was able to blend being professional and loving at our first meeting. I could really feel she was the person I wanted by my side for this birth.
The night that Oliver was making his way into the world I had been in denial about him coming, even though he was a week past his estimated birth date. I called Casey about my contractions being close together and she, without hesitation, made her way to our home. This was so important because our baby was actually coming and she could sense that this was the day!
When she arrived I felt that I had another team member to get through the intensity of labor. She was very calm and supportive for all my needs. The most notable thing I remember about her was her WARM HANDS. They are so strong and secure. I could feel the love pouring out of them when she put some pressure on my lower back and hips during the intense pressure waves.
After our Oliver arrived Casey was the last to leave our home. She made sure we were settled and that breast feeding was going well. I was with little Oliver in our bed and I could hear her doing our dishes before she left. She was so caring. Thank you Casey!" H.P.
"I can't reduce what a doula does in a soundbite because she does a million little things that you had no idea you would need until the moment of need. My husband was dubious about the necessity of a doula at first, but after our son's birth he couldn't stop raving about Casey. He realized that to be an effective birthing companion for me, he needed doula support for himself. Hiring a doula was the best money we spent preparing for our son's birth." B.M.
"I'm really glad I hired Casey as a doula. My birth was stressful and didn't go as planned and I know that without Casey I would have ended up with an emergency C section. My water broke about 53 hours before my baby was born and Casey went to the clinic at first and then we discussed my options. We went back a day later and she was there for the whole eighteen and a half hours that it took to induce me.
She helped me relax and reminded me to breathe correctly. Afterwards she gave me time and space to be with my baby. I had trouble nursing and she came over a couple times to help, going above and beyond what was required of her. In my opinion, having Casey as a doula was one of the best decisions I made." S.C.
